Common Ground sessions are discussion groups bringing together 5-8 authors whose proposals are similar in quality, and topic or methods. Track Chairs will identify which proposals are suitable for grouping, and submitters will be notified accordingly.
Authors will not need a PowerPoint presentation, but should be prepared with a crisp 5-minute spoken summary of their proposal. After all authors have spoken, the session will be open for discussion, guided by a senior faculty member.
Download links for the Common Ground session proposals will be emailed to the submitting authors participating in the session. All participants in the session should prepare a few constructive criticisms and questions for all proposals in the session.
Participants in Common Ground Sessions may discover like-minded colleagues with whom to collaborate in future.
All Authors of proposals selected for Common Ground Sessions will receive presentation certificates at the session.
